DEER PARK, Texas—Former English teacher Emily Janes received four years deferred adjudication Thursday for having sex with a student.

Janes, 23, entered a guilty plea back in June.

She was accused of having a month-long relationship with an 18-year-old student at Deer Park High School.

She resigned shortly after the accusations came to light.
