Three arrested for allegedly robbing Pizza Hut, AT&T and Wing Stop stores
07:06 PM CDT on Wednesday, March 26, 2008
HOUSTON -- What started with a single order of wings ended in a combo of arrests Wednesday.
Three suspects allegedly robbed a Pizza Hut off Antoine, an AT&T store at Willowbrook Mall and a Wing Stop on Tomball Parkway -- all in about an hour.
“I was scared at first, because I didn’t know what was happening, but then he said ‘don’t move,’” Wing Stop cashier Jose Ulloa said.
Witnesses called police with a description of the suspects’ getaway van, and a K-9 officer spotted the trio at a shopping center at Bingle and Tidwell.
Investigators believe the suspects were getting ready to rob a Cricket store, but they never got the chance.
Police approached them, and they did not resist arrest.
The van was processed for evidence.
Investigators say it was stolen and linked it to an armed robbery that occurred two days ago.
The suspects have yet to be formally identified by witnesses.
They could face aggravated robbery charges.
