Houston boxer dies after losing consciousness in Dallas fight

DALLAS – A Houston boxer died in Dallas after losing consciousness in a Thursday night fight.
WFAA-TV reports that Benjamin Flores, 24, died at Parkland Hospital early Tuesday morning.
Flores was fighting Al Seeger at a local hotel when he lost consciousness.
WFAA said the referee had stopped the fight in the eighth round after Flores quit punching back.
He was rushed to the hospital, where he stayed until he died.
Flores was challenging Seeger for the NABF super bantamweight title.
Flores fought 23 pro fights winning 16, six by KO’s, and losing four.
