HOUSTON—A man was hospitalized early Monday after a fire at a Houston apartment complex.
Fire crews were called to the scene at the Brookdale Village apartments on the Gulf Freeway at Griggs around 12: 00 a.m.
When they arrived, they made a fast attack on the flames, which originated from an upstairs unit.
Once they got the fire knocked out, they found a man inside a burned unit in a bathtub.
He was taken to the hospital in serious but stable condition, having suffered minor burns and smoke inhalation.
In the end, two upstairs units sustained fire damage and two downstairs units were damaged by water.
Arson investigators are looking into the cause.
