Kidnapping suspect leads Harris County deputies on a chase
07:09 PM CDT on Monday, June 29, 2009
HOUSTON—An alleged kidnapper wound up behind bars Monday after leading Harris County deputies on a chase.
It started late Sunday night on Tomball Parkway when a deputy spotted the suspected kidnapper and tried to stop him.
The suspect took off, and the deputy gave chase.
At one point, investigators say the suspect tried to run over the deputy, so the deputy opened fire.
The shots missed, but the suspect’s truck became disabled after he blew out his tires.
He was forced to ditch the truck and run, and deputies caught up with him.
The alleged kidnapping victim was not injured.
