Wharton County dedicates memorial for officers killed in line of duty

HOUSTON—Wharton County on Monday dedicated a new memorial honoring officers killed in the line of duty.
The idea came about after the death of Game Warden Justin Hurst.
Hurst was killed two years ago when a hunter shot him after a police chase.
The shooter, James Freeman, was convicted of capital murder and sentenced to death.
