HPD: Charges pending against woman in boyfriend's death

HOUSTON—Manslaughter charges are pending against a 38-year-old woman in the death of her boyfriend, police said Tuesday.
Police said the victim and his girlfriend, Deborah Yvette Parker, had a heated argument in 2700 block of Lorraine Monday night.
When the argument subsided, the pair went back into their apartment.
Several hours later, neighbors told police Parker ran into another apartment unit, frantically yelling that the victim had been shot.
The motive and circumstances surrounding the shooting have not yet been determined.
The victim’s identity is being withheld, pending notification of family members by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office.
