League City enforces mandatory water rationing
09:10 AM CDT on Thursday, July 2, 2009
LEAGUE CITY, Texas—League City has joined the list of local communities enforcing mandatory water rationing.
It’s the first Galveston County city to issue a mandatory order.
League City residents with even-numbered addresses are only allowed to water their lawns on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Residents with odd-numbered addresses can do so on Mondays and Wednesdays.
The Woodlands and Conroe have also issued mandatory water restrictions, and many more communities are asking residents to voluntarily conserve water because of the drought.
