Off-duty deputy tackles suspect after fatal shooting at Metro bus stop

HOUSTON—A suspect was in custody Thursday after a Wednesday night shooting at a Metro bus stop.
According to Harris County deputies, the victim was sitting at the bus stop at Bellaire and Addicks Clodine around 9 p.m. when he was approached by the suspect.
Deputies said the suspect demanded money and then shot the victim an unknown number of times.
The suspect tried to flee on a bicycle, but an off-duty deputy who witnessed the shooting ran up and tackled him.
The victim was Life Flighted to Memorial Hermann, where he later died.More Houston Headlines...
