HOUSTON --One suspect is now in custody following a bank robbery on Friday.

Police say that at 9 a.m., a suspect robbed the People’s State Bank in Shepherd, Texas.

He then attempted to get away by heading south on Highway 59, but deputies gave chase.

The chase ended in Cleveland, Texas after the suspect crashed his car.

There is no word on his condition.
