A car crash on Aldine Westfield claims the life of a groom on his wedding day.
Reportedly, Travis Thompson had just finished a night of celebrating when he was killed in a fiery car crash in Northeast Harris County.
It happened around 2:45 a.m.
Police say Thompson was speeding on the 21000 block of Aldine Westfield when he hit a raised curb median on the east side of the road.
He then overcorrected and went back across the lanes.
His 2004 Pontiac GTO slammed sideways into a metal pole.
It burst into flames.
Thompson was the only person in the car.
He died on the scene.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Enforcement Section is investigating this collision.
