Trash troubles tie up traffic in Sugar Land

SUGAR LAND, Texas – There was trash trouble in Sugar Land after an accident involving a garbage truck.
It happened on 59 South near University at around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.
When authorities arrived on the scene, the garbage truck was on its side and its large load of trash was littered across the highway.
It’s not known if the driver was hurt, or how the accident happened.
What is known is that the accident prompted officials to close all five lanes of the freeway. Drivers are having to merge into the HOV lane in order to make past the accident.
