According to witnesses, the victim and his infant passenger were traveling westbound on Clinton at a high rate of speed when their silver Pontiac Grand Prix lost control on the wet roads and swerved into the eastbound lane.
A white Ford F-150 pickup traveling eastbound struck the Pontiac on the passenger side.
Witnesses said the Pontiac then struck a Chevy Avalanche that was exiting a private driveway nearby.
Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the pickup and his juvenile passenger were taken to Ben Taub, police said. Their conditions were not known.
Investigators said the people in the Avalanche weren’t injured.
The identities of the two victims were being held pending notification of family members by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office.
