Woman Tasered after HPD standoff

HOUSTON—A standoff outside a Southwest Houston police station is over and a woman is in custody, again.
The woman, Fertinia Maria Gasaway, was arrested in Tomball on a 110 Medicare warrants and was taken to the Mykawa substation to face a judge, say police.
It was then, police say, that Gasaway, who was cuffed, pulled out one of her hands and told police she had a gun.
Police say Gasaway went into a bathroom and held police at bay. She was eventually Tasered and taken into custody, say police.
Officials said Gasaway didn’t have a weapon.
