Cowboys raise giant video screen for U2 concert

ARLINGTON — The Dallas Cowboys refused to raise their huge HD video board after a punter kicked a ball into it, but the team lifted the screen more than two stories for U2's performance at the stadium Monday night.
Brett Daniels, a spokesman from the Cowboys, said workers raised the HD screen 25 feet. It only took a couple hours, he said, and was completed over the last few days.
The giant HD video screen is normally suspended 90 feet above the floor. But, because of U2's stage setup, the Cowboys agreed to raise the screen 115 feet off the ground, Daniels said.
U2 used their own much smaller video screen, which was a circular board positioned over the stage.
Monday night was the first time the video board has moved.
Earlier in the NFL season, a punter for the Tennessee Titans kicked a football into the bottom of the screen, sparking a debate over whether the Cowboys' video board should be pushed up higher.
But, the team said its board is currently in compliance with the league's height restrictions.
