DALLAS — A DART light rail train struck a vehicle at an Oak Cliff intersection Sunday afternoon. The driver of the car was hospitalized.

DART spokesman Morgan Lyons said a Nissan turned in front of the northbound Blue Line train at Lancaster Road and Saner Avenue around 12:30 p.m.

Lyons said the unidentified driver of the Nissan was taken to Methodist Medical Center with unspecified injuries. About 30 minutes after the collision, Lyons said a second ambulance was dispatched to examine a train passenger who complained of pain.

Some witnesses told News 8 they were concerned because there are no crossing arms at the intersection. Two Blue Line tracks run in the median of Lancaster Road.
