DALLAS — If you'll be driving near downtown Dallas this weekend, watch out for demolition work.

Woodall Rodgers Freeway will be closed to traffic all weekend so work can continue on a new park that is being built on top of the driving lanes.

All lanes of the freeway — which links North Central Expressway with Interstate 35E — will be closed by 11 p.m. Friday after the Dallas Stars game.

This weekend, workers are tearing down the St. Paul Street exit ramp. The freeway should reopen by 5 o'clock Monday morning in time for rush hour.

Woodall Rodgers was also off limits to traffic last weekend for the demolition of an overpass. That job was finished early and the highway reopened by Sunday afternoon.
