Feast of Sharing brings those in need together

DALLAS — Some 10,000 people were expected to attend Central Market's Feast of Sharing at Fair Park on Tuesday evening.
Some guests, like the Martinez family, didn't expect to find themselves in the long line.
"These times are hard, you know. But we still get by," said Santos Martinez.
There were many walks of life sharing a meal together, some just there for the festivities. But the face of those struggling to put food on the table is changing during tough economic times.
"This year in particular I think the need is even greater than before," said Stephen Butt, Central Market Senior Vice President.
An upbeat atmosphere seemed to help people forget their problems at home and embrace the holidays coming around the corner.
