FORT WORTH — Here at Channel 8, we’re proud to bring you Project Green, a program that educates North Texans on how to live cleaner, smarter, and richer lives to help preserve the environment.

This week, we're honoring Eco-Educators like Kimberlee Long, who are teaching that important lesson in the classroom.

The All Saints' Episcopal School teacher and her students use 16 acres of natural habitiat to learn how to plan and conserve natural resources.

The students also compost, build flower gardens, and take younger students there to study butterflies and birds and to seed wildflowers.

Congratulations to Kimberlee Long for making Project Green a part of her students’ daily lives.

On Friday, WFAA names its final Eco-Educator award-winner.
