KAUFMAN COUNTY — Martin McKee of Farmers Branch is facing two capital murder charges after being arrested in connection with the deaths of his girlfriend and her daughter in Kaufman County.
The victims — identified as Fionna K. Olander, 30, and 10-year-old Korry, both Addision residents — were discovered in a rural ditch near Post Oak Bend on Tuesday morning.
Mike Olander, who reported his daughter and granddaughter missing Tuesday, had spent the last few days searching for his loved ones.
"I was just out looking for my babies, didn't expect to find them this way," he said.
The spot where they were found was 50 miles away from their home. A jogger found the bodies.
"This is a nightmare," Olander said. "I want someone to wake me up out of it. I want to be back at Sunday when everything was good that I knew of."
Now, Olander said he is left with questions since police have not said how or where the two were killed.
"I don't understand why someone would dump my babies on the side of the road like trash," he said. "That really upsets the hell out of me. That's what I don't get."
Police arrested McKee, 37, Wednesday night during a traffic stop in Farmers Branch. He is being held without bond at the Kaufman County Law Enforcement Center.
Investigators said autopsy and toxicology results were pending on the two victims.
