FLOWER MOUND — Garrett Cole Gower is under arrest for capital murder in connection with the death of 16-year-old Brittany Munoz.

The body of Munoz was found in her Flower Mound apartment on Tuesday afternoon. Detectives now say that she was pregnant at the time of her death, according to a partial report from the medical examiner's office.

Gower, 20, was taken into custody on Friday afternoon. He had earlier been sought as a "person of interest" in the case.

Police were expected to release additional information at a news conference on Friday afternoon.
